Can a new Board change a Maintence Persons Hours? The previous had already voted in the years Budget and the hours for the Maintence person was covered in that Budget. The new Board changed his work hours which are not covered in the new budget and will cause oue budget to be in the red.

Yes, the new board could change the hours, but if it is not budgeted as you pointed out, why would you want to go in the red on that line item?

The new Board consists of members who never attended Board meeting before and do not have any idea about serving on a board. The previous boaed cut the hours for the maintence because , he is not needed 5 days and we would have had to raise our assoc fee by 10.00 a month. By cutting 2 days a week , we were able to have a balanced budget. We are really going to be in trouble by the end of this year and they will be increasing our fees.

As Roger said yes the new board can do that. Maybe you should try explaining this to them rationally. At the end of the day it is their decision.
