I am looking for a vendor for a portfolio size townhome community that will handle the pool services, as well as janitorial. Three days per week pool service and 2 days Janitorial. Including community trash clean up, doggie stations, pool bathrooms, trash cans, etc. Any recommendations?

Michelle,

Welcome to the forum.

If you read the posting rules for the forum, you will see that we are not to mention names of contractors or HOAs. Typically, when someone wants specifics like that they provide an e-mail (which you can set up from any free e-mail service) for others to contact them.

Have you written a request for a proposal (which is basically what you expect the contractor to do) and sent it to various companies? I suspect that you may need two contractors vs. one. This is because the contractor who takes care of the pool needs specific training.

Another option is to hire an employee to handle those tasks. However, you will need to pay employer taxes in addition to any salary.

Split the proposal.

1. A pool company will handle the pool facililty.

2. A groundskeeper or Pet Waste Removal company (they exist) would handle the community trash & dog stations.

I would recommend you start with an national organization that is involved with HOA's and Condominiums. It is called CAI (Community Association Institute) and they have eight chapters in the state of Florida. Their web address is https://www.caionline.org/Chapters/Pages/Chapter-Listing.aspx#FL and you can locate a chapter by the region in which the association is located.
