I know this is off topic but i cant fina an answer anywhere!

I have a contract in which the builder gueanteed to built my unit within 2 years,
it is now 2 yrs and 2 mths, so they have breached the contract , Does anyone know how long i have to take action ( in florida )
before I can no longer take any action by law??? ( is there a time period? )

You may be able to place a "mechanics lien" on the contractor. This may be a cheaper option than going to court. I believe this means they don't get paid until the work is completed.
I would also suggest reading your contract to see if it contains any wording in regards to being late. Many contractors do have a clause due to various weather and other underdetermined conditions. If there are bona fide reasons they couldn't finish the job, you may have nothing. Especially if something like Katrina hit in the middle of the build.
