Hi all,
We have 77 homes in our subdivision. We need 25% to make quorum. We had 23 homes attend an HOA meting yesterday. There was a vote to have the President and the Treasurer removed. 14 homes vote on the treasurer position 9 in favor of the treasurer being removed. Our by laws stated that the affirmative majority ...

Since the vote did not turn out in the way some would like, they are saying that they did not understand all of the legal mumbo jumbo such as quorum and majority voting.

Would the vote stand or do we do a revote?

Thanks

Beth, IF the meeting was DULY called; and IF the By-laws state a majority OF THOSE VOTING; IF the notice of meeting and the Chair made the voting process and requirements clear, then the vote stands.

IF any one of these requirements was not met then a revote is justified. Why didn't the other 9 homes (23 quorum less total of 14 votes) vote? Quorum and majority are not legal mumbo jumbo - that sounds to me like an invalid argument by certain losers
