Good Day Group---- Needing some assistance with regards to Roberts Rules of Order ?? Large Board--- We have 13 on the Board..............It seems that at most every monthly meeting, someone on the BOD misquotes something from either our By Laws,Covenants, or Fla Statutes.... We have a VERY KNOWLEGABLE Member who will raise his hand and do a Point of Information to Mr President.... Now all the Members appreciate this gentlemans POI'S as some of the participants really do not have a real keen idea of the wording of the By laws ,etc............At yesterdays BOD Meeting the BOD made a motion that from now on NO MEMBER may make a POI..........ONLY BOD MEMBERS MAY.........

My question is---- Is this an allowable motion to not allow Members to make POI to correct misinformation given by the BOD ??

Linda, I would thank the homeowner and advise them that only Board members are allowed to conduct business during Board meetings. We allow homeowners to speak during an open session at the beginning of each Board meeting on items on the agenda plus other problems on which they wish to speak.
