I am a property manager and do not know how I can reach the Board at varius HOAs. I would like to present bids to local associations, but there is no way of knowing who to contact. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. MaggieM

Would be interested in what state you are located in as a PM should have an idea of how state law regulates HOA operation. I always thought it was the HOA having trouble finding a good property manager ? Seriously, municipalities will maintain contact information for HOA's in their jurisdiction and might be likely to pass on your interest at least indirectly so that they may contact you. Also, the county courthouse will often also have this information for the resident agent or designated Board POC. You can also let your fingers do the walking through the yellow pages as large HOAs have offices or search through the web. Best of luck.

Hi Maggie:

Several thoughts:
1) Join your local CAI chapter, some board members belong to CAI
2) Talk with local companies that specialize in servicing HOA's - such as landscapers, painting companies, law firms, etc. - many of these vendors also belong to a local CAI chapter
3) Search through your state's Secretary of State website for non-profit corporations that include HOA, Homeowner, Home Owner, Homeowner's, Home Owner's, Homeowners', Home Owners', Condominium, etc. and then hunt up any information you can. This will be the long & tedious method.

good luck!

Corporate Searchs on "Association", "Homeowners", etc... would yield registered agents and officers in Florida.

Go to the Secretary of State website and the names of the HOA will be listed under registered corporations and should list the officers. You could then look these individuals up on the internet or phone book. I used to get mail from various vendors but don't know how they got my name and address.
