If a household only has one vote in elections, can two people from that household be elected directors?

Yes, IF the governing documents and/or state statues allow.

Two schools of thought on this. One is it is OK as you are getting two people to work especially if not enough to run.

The second school, and my personal belief, is I do not like it and would not allow it.

I also would not vote for both of them.

Thanks for your replies. They are a pa[n, and along with 2 friends on a 7 person board are running some questionable policies that are upsetting a lot of people. So guess we'll have to wait for the next election.

Read your documents, Warren, probably your bylaws. They will say if two members of the same household ares forbidden to serve simultaneously on the Board. If silent, both may serve and you have no choices but to put up with them till the next election or start a movement to recall them.

You and your fellow owners can get rid of them if you unite. But you or someone who is knowledgeable need to read how to launch a recall.

Thanks KerryL1. There is no mention of this in or bylaws and getting a recall would require 60% of members to agree. This would be like the last federal election. Impossible to get enough people to even vote.
