We are brand new to this forum, a very, very small, self managed HOA with no money for attorneys. I cannot seem to find out the proper procedures for the filing requirements of a lien for unpaid dues. Any help out there? Thanks

Call the County Clerk's office and inquire how your State laws are. It could be as simple as filling out a lien request form and having it recorded. I am sure that you must notify the Owner as well. Here in NC there is a proceedure to follow in accordance with NC Collection Laws. I hope that helps.
