A college graduate really should be capable of writing a simple paragraph in understandable English.

? Were you actually admitted to the bar ?

? If so, how do you manage to compose an understandable brief ?

Hi Angel

It seems quite clear that you found fault with the prior board, and now that the board has changed over, they are finding fault with you.

You appear to know the FL statute. And you should be able to assess for yourself whether the recall challenge conforms to the statute. If it conforms, then defend your actions. If it doesn't, then challenge the procedure they are following, and be sure to tell them what they need to do to correct the deficiency.

I cannot comprehend spending $1,600 to mail campaign material.

The fact that a prior board member appointed himself as head of the recall committee is irrelevant. The fact that you have a disability and have a higher education is also irrelevant.

The only relevant question is whether your new board is doing a better job that your old board.

I do not know how long the new board has been in place, but if you are still trying to prove the misdeeds of the prior board, then you might be shooting yourself in the foot by focusing too much on the past when you should be focusing on the future.

My big question is: Why are you still talking about improper elections? That's old news. It may have got you elected, but no one is going to do anything about it now. Once you are in office, people expect you to make changes for the betterment of the community.

Show that you can get over the old stuff. Demonstrate that you know how to chart a new and better course for your association. And if you do these things well, you will stay in office.

John,

I had a mother who was losing her sight to macular degeneration. I appreciated every e-mail I received from her because I knew it took a lot of time and energy. Her e-mails would sometimes look similar to what the OP's post looked like. This would be due to her not placing her hands in the correct position between thoughts.

Angel,

I will say that reading my mothers e-mail was torture at times because of the spelling errors. However, because I loved her, I would take the time to decipher what she was trying to tell me. Your fellow board members likely won't take the time necessary to figure out what you are trying to write to them. This could become an issue in the future. Therefore, you may want to invest in a computer program that translates voice to text. This could be very helpful to you.

A bit off topic...

FYI: there are several voice-to-text - text-to-voice programs available to help you with your personal challenges.

Many are free and may already be part of your OS.
