We are attempting to have a survey of our property. Since we are adjacent to a Care Center and share the same parking lot, we need to know what part of the land actually belongs to us.
The house just to the West of our building has a fance around the yard.
Apparently a pin the surveyors need to us is in the yard of this house. When they went to the door, they was a sign on the door stating, "We don't call the police" and then a picture of a gun.
Our PM has being trying to contact the owner so that the surveyors can get permission to go into the yard so that our survey can be completed. Looks like some of either our property or the Care Centers Propery have been encroached on by the owners of the house.

As one Board Member stated "We may have to get the legal beagles on the case".

I am just posting this as an interesting item for people to read.

A surveyor performing his work is not usually considered a trespasser in the eyes of the law. But a prudent surveyor usually will not tempt fate when the owners are not friendly.

While it will definitely delay the survey, your lawyers should be able to obtain the necessary court orders to allow the surveyor on the neighboring property. This will become even easier if there is reason to believe that Mr. Macho has encroached on your property.

We suspect that Mr. Macho did not know he was encroaching on our or the Care Center's property. I have heard that the Care Center used to own the house.
