Just thought I'd forward some information I received. If you live in North Carolina, HOA-NC (www.hoa-nc.com) is offering afternoon and evening HOA Board seminars across the state in April and May. The following information is from their newsletter.

This 3 hour seminar will present information that is essential for volunteers who serve on the board of their homeowner association as well as builders/developers of new communities.

Topics include: budgeting, financial reports, reserve funds, covenant enforcement, governing laws, insurance, meeting tips and proposed legislation. This seminar also includes a valuable opportunity to direct questions to our panel of legal and management experts.

The seminars will be offered in five cities across North Carolina beginning April 17th.

Raleigh - April 17
Charlotte - April 19 (this is the one I'm planning on attending)
Greensboro - May 1
Wilmington - May 3
Asheville - May 8

For locations, agenda, fees, and on-line registration click on the seminar link at www.hoa-nc.com.

Hope you find this useful.

Hi Everybody!

I attended the Charlotte session and just thought I'd report my experience. I'm very glad I went and I wish other members of our board would have gone as well. I'm going to strongly suggest they do for the next round of HOA-NC seminars. The session was very informative and incredibly valuable for me. I especially liked the expert panel Q&A session at the end and the discussion on leases/renters.

I hope this helps someone.

Bill
