What is the funniest thing anyone has said to you regarding HOA Board business?
I think my favorite was..shortly after a bike was stolen.

"Will you be calling the police to report my stolen property". Really said by an adult homeowner. LOL

Please add yours. We could all use a laugh. HOA Business is often way too serious.

Had a senior citizen claim our enforcement procedure for a violation on his property (a picket was missing from the middle of their fence) was elder abuse. Note: I offered to assist and put a new picket on for him if he bought the picket but he refused the help.

Said by the board president at a deposition where my husband and I were accused of trespass by connecting to the sanitary sewer without HOA permission. The HOA attorney asked the board president if we had permission to hook up to their sanitary sewer and he replied "yes of course." The attorney then had to do damage control by asking him if he was mistaken by that reply. It was quite funny especially when you saw the look on the attorney's face.

That is funny...

We had a prior board member submit receipts to the HOA Board for lunches he bought vendors who did some handy work on our building. anticipating the HOA would pay for this. He did this without seeking approval or permission and threatend a lawsuit over $200+ no kidding. ( they do exist )
