Posting a thread like this does not always work at getting the moderators attention.

You need to actually take the time to report inappropriate posts by clicking on the underlined portion of the sentence in red, located under the yellow welcome banner, that says to ***Please report inappropriate posts.

Have you thought of creating your own [forum] in which you could decide what is bogus or not?

i was going to post a similar topic but decided against it. i am glad you did. i very very very rarely post but i do read daily and have noticed the troll count rise dramatically in recent weeks. hopefully mods will cut them off soon. my guess is it is likely the same person under multiple alters.

It appears that the moderators agreed with many on here and have been at work. Many, if not all, of the Bogus posts have been deleted. If you had been online when the posts were available you would have seen that they had nothing to do with Associations or the claim of what the Association was doing was simply way way way outside the norm. Some of the posts were blatantly off topic (sexual).

I for one would like to thank the moderators for taking action as I've seen many many good forums ruined by trolls.

Per Wikipedia, Trolls are defined as a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

The posts began getting weird with the 2-can garbage complaint and they progressed to hiring private detectives, how to kill cats, Dog DNA, racial remarks, sexual remarks, and it goes on.

I may not be the sharpest pencil in the box but I knew what was happening. Perhaps PeterD didn't care for my method but I was hoping to draw attention so folks would not "feed the troll" and respond.

Thanks to the moderators for cleaning things up and thanks to Tim for the explanation to PeterD.
