Greetings All,

We are in crises since December 2013 with not having water. We have went over 72 hrs. without water and the water board is asking the people of the HOA to use showers at hotels or any other means necessary to clean ourselves. We are in need of Colorado State Laws regarding this issue and legal counsel that deals with Water Rights for Land Owners in HOA's.

Any suggestions?

Best Regards,

More details. Why talking lawyers? We used to be able to cut off the water to people who owed dues. It is written in the documents. Otherwise, not having water sounds like a real crisis you ALL must work together to resolve and not sue over.

Renessa,

I expect that since this has been going on since December, the issue was caused by flood damage. When I traveled in CO over the holidays, I was able to see a lot of the damage first hand. I know that the governor's office stepped up and did a lot to repair the roads and the crews are now working on cleaning up the flood debris and repairing secondary roads. From my laypersons opinion, it will still take a lot of time (6 months to a year) for many areas to return to normal.

If the water is provided by the city, you will have to deal with the city. You may want to contact the governors office and see if they can be of assistance in directing resources to correcting the problem.
