We've discussed resolutions for board members and homeowners in two previous threads, and now comes the last of HOA Homefront's series - resolutions for property managers (check out the front page of this website)
We’ve heard some people complain about their boards being too dependent on the property manager or the property manager dominates everything, so I hope reviewing these resolutions help both sides understand who’s supposed to do what. Some of them might also be used to help evaluate a property management company’s performance or at least give people something to think about if they’re about to switch from self management to professional management.
Sometimes I think Board members become too dependent because they don’t know how to make a decision on an issue or are afraid to do it (it’s easier to blame the property manager!) On the other hand, there are property managers who take advantage of the fear or lack of knowledge (usually both) and that’s when the problems start.
What say you about these resolutions?
