Patrick,

Welcome to the forum. This site tends to have threads about specific issues or information vs. threads for specific areas.

If you have an issue or specific information relating to CO Associations please feel free to start one.

Hey we aren't too far from each other! Would be interested in sitting down over starbucks. There's one near our community about 4mins away from you. Interested?

I write my condo's quarterly newsletter. Here is an article I did recently. (Note on the CAI link, the - in the address is essential.) The Co. HOA forum is a favorite of mine. You can go to their site and see if any members of your association are members.

Condo News Links

We all get news---business news, local news, world news, sports news. But, where do we turn to get news related to one of our biggest investments—our condo? There are websites devoted to condo news. Below are three of them owners may find useful:

The Colorado HOA forum (www.coloradohoaforum.com) is an HOA homeowner advocacy group. Last year this organization was successful in lobbying for several initiatives to protect condo owners and to provide transparency is how HOAs are run. The Colorado HOA forum has published its 2014 legislative agenda which includes dispute resolution, controlling real estate transfer fees and requiring that board members read the governing documents.

The Colorado Homeowners Association Law (http://www.cohoalaw.com/) has an informative blog which addresses concerns such as convent enforcement, legislation, and even how to handle unruly neighbors.

The CAI-Rocky Mountain Chapter (Community Associations Institute) (http://www.hoa-colorado.org/) educates condo owners and advocates for them. They have lots of information including a monthly online magazine.
