Can a Arizona HOA advertise to VOTE YES at the polling center or do they have to be posted within a certain distance

Is this for a governmental election (State/Federal level) or for Association issues?

The rules governing advertising at State/Federal election polling places are contained in State Statutes. These were drafted and adopted by the State and Federal legislatures.

The rules governing advertising at Association elections would likely be drafted and adopted by the Board of Directors or contained in your governing documents.

Allen,

If it is a public election, the rules for the HOA will be the same as for any other entity.

If it is an HOA election, I know of no statutes that would apply.

Did the membership agree to endorse such position? Are homeowners allowed to post signs in their yards opposing the HOA's position? I think the HOA should stay out of elections and just focus on the neighborhood.

I can't imagine that this issue is even on the radar screen of our elected representatives.

In any case- I really don't understand the mindset that leads a board (or owner, or whatever) to do things that appear at minimum questionable.

Why not just a Vote Today sign??
