Hi all,
Just one more question. We have a tiny group of "volunteers" who are buddies (and some are Board members). These volunteers use their power to do pet projects and use our HOA funds to do so. Because some are on the Board, they have taken carte blanche with the community. It doesn't matter if the end result is a mess either- tacky outcomes, excessive funds for what should be a simple project, etc. Now these illustrious "volunteers" have damaged existing landscaping during one of their projects. Are volunteers ever on the hook to repair damages that they cause? This also isn't the first time the "volunteers" have trashed things in the community. The other problem is that this group will bully and harass anyone who dares to confront them or question them.
