Hi there,
My husband and I just purchased a home in the Valley Ranch area. We wanted to add keyless entry to our new home through http://www.keylessaccesslocks.com. Anyone have this in their home, did you need to get this approved from HOA for installation? Any information would be helpful! Thanks!

This is SPAM and violates the site rules... I will stick with my keys as they double as weapons...

Let's see, the OP is from Texas and the website location is in New York. I would call that SPAM..really?

Dawn,

Hoping that you simply failed to read the forums posting rules and were not trying to spam the site, I can offer the following:

We have one home in our development that has a keyless entry system for their front door. I have no idea what company they used. Heck, they may have simply bought the lock from the local home improvement or hardware store (in fact, those may be better prices than the site you listed).

Our governing documents, similar to other Associations, require prior approval for all exterior changes. Since the lock was an exterior change, they did in fact request and received permission for the change prior to approving it.

My suggestion, check many places for the type of lock you want. Then take a picture of it or, if it's off the net, print out the specifics and request permission from your Association prior to installation.
