Just curious if anyone has found a really good service for their community web site, in addition to using the services advertised on this web site.

Community123 has everything you need; is priced right; and provide excellent service. We use their service and recommend them highly.

You can search the web for community type web sites, but I don't think you'll find anything to beat this one.

Robert, we have an expert at building websites. He researched comunity123.com and recommended using them rather than custom building sites for our clients.

I've had pretty good luck with GoDaddy for the neighborhoods I've assisted. Building a basic site where you're making everything readily accessible does not require that much technical knowledge to set up or maintain. If you start getting into password protected areas, mass email distributions, blogs, etc., then you might need to consider obtaining some technical assistance. Depends on your budget and what you really want or need for your site. If you don't mind having a sponsor for your site then it's usually pretty easy to find a realtor or two that's willing to fully fund them in exchange for them being allowed to place a small referral link on your home page.

We have just begun to have community123.com put our website together. We looked into having one of our (expert) residents put a site together, with nothing but confusion.

community123.com has a "GREAT" staff. They make the site VERY user friendly and do everything for you. Two months free trial, and you won't find a better price after the trial period.
Nothing but good things to say about our representive who has been putting our site together.

In my opinion, it's just not right to go on a forum sponsored by a website provider and ask for the names of compeditors.

Kind of like going into McDonalds and asking for directions to Burger King.

Please don't take this in any way, other then being constructive.
Isn't that what living in America, is all about? Competition.
By the way, On my way to the Battle field at Gettysburg, Pa I did stop at a Burger King, and ask where the nearest McDonalds, was. I like their big macs, and milkshakes.
Burger King, girl (I stopped at the window) had no problem.
I have been in my favorite store (The Home Depot) on several occasions and when they did not have exactly what I was looking for, the salesperson volunteered his opinion that I should try Lowes.
I doubt community123.com has any problems with Robert's, question.

Jim
