Where is the question? Seems like slick advertising. Sorry HOA's are NOT protected by fences or bubbles... Call the police and carry good insurance...or organise a community watch OUTSIDE the HOA connection.

buses are switched out regularly for maintenance, break downs, etc. Do you plan on adding one of these sensors to hundreds of busses?

The website is confusing. It suggests that they offer a product that will trigger a gate to open by the sound of a siren but also talks about rfid chips in the same breath.

It's been about 5 decades since I last rode a school bus but I do not recall any being equipped with sirens. Unless school buses now have sirens this technology would be of little use for your situation. Certainly they could use the bus' horn as a trigger, but many cars would also be able to cause the gates to open the same way. That includes some of the cars you are trying to keep out.

As Steve pointed out, rfid chips would become useless if the regular bus is in the shop.

In our area school buses generally pick up and discharge the kids at the entrances to gated communities.
