Our HOA would like to update their accounting software. Can anyone tell me what your HOA uses or if there might
be other options we should look at.

Thank you!

Use either "Smart Street" or "TOPS" so the Board has read-only access to the account.

QBP-13 has multiple user options with administrator (treasurer) able to set any and all access abilities for each user ~ also tracks all changes / entries made by any user by user log-in ~ each user would set their own pin ~ treasurer (admin) has over-ride capability ~ my HOA is set up:

treasurer - full access

pres & vice pres ~ full access for entries current year only, no changes permitted

other directors ~ read only access

all pin protected and backed up onto flash drives

ps. QBP-13 has 'batch invoice' capability and member 'pick up' from Excel spreadsheet ~ we only need to have ONE data-base!

Depends on the size or your HOA. How many units?

520 homes/townhomes

When you're talking about accounting software, you're usually talking about a self managed association.

When your association is very large, and you need a Mgmt company to handle things, you just let them use whatever accounting software they want as long as you get good reports. They might have a custom solution built just for them that makes it easy to handle multiple associations.

At 520 homes, I might be tempted to just turn it over to a mgmt company. That is just too many units to handle on a volunteer basis but not enough units to justify the expense of hiring full time employees to handle the mgmt of the association. A Mgmt company can do it cheaper with better results and competencies.
