We're not supposed to recommend particular companies but a simple Yahoo search for HOA management companies Aurora, CO gave me a list of six or seven different MC's.

Studies show that 5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions

If your looking for names of companies, check your local chapter of CAI's website. Other options include contacting the State Corporation Commission or Secretary of State to see if they can provide a list, looking in the phone book, do an internet search, etc.

As for choosing the actual company, I offer the following resources:

Best Demonstrated Practices and Tips for Selecting an HOA Management Company article from HOA Management Directory

Hiring an HOA Manager: What to Consider from the National Association of Realtors

There are other resources out there but these were free.

Tim, thanks for the lind to www.hoamanagementdirectory.com/resources. I found it to be an excellent article on reasons to hire a management company and the "full services" management available. Meanwhile some of that website's links, such the list of management companies in Aurora,CO, were not.

Your best bet is driving around to other condo/hoa or telephone and asking who the mgmt company is and if they like them. Dont take the mgmt company's word for it, get a recommendation from another local condo/hoa.

Steve's approach makes sense except it'd be best to speak with the board president or a board member. Directors of other properties phone our PM who than gives their contact info to one of us board members who calls the director who's seeking MC info.
