My house is disconnected from my HOA neighborhood by roughly 250 yards of protected wetlands to the South. To the North is another HOA that is bordering my property. The HOA to the North wants to place a playground right next to my house on an open 3500 square foot parcel. I'm already helping them with the design and putting money into the deal. Is there a way to transfer out of my original HOA to join the one right next to my house?

What information do I need to gather?

You will need to consult with a local attorney on this one.
I foresee the following possible issues:

Change in plats.
Remove and replace deed restrictions (if the two CC&Rs aren't the same).
