Hi,

I have some question about electing new HOA Board. My HOA board has 3 people and they are the same persons since I moved in. I would like to know what the common rule to elect new HOA board. I heard that to vote for new board, it is required more than certain amount of votes in community to vote on it. What is the percentage? I would like to know what the common rule about electing new board. Ever year are we supposed to have board meeting or something? I think my community never have the HOA meeting almost 2 years. Is this normal?

Thank you for your advice

Yui,

Is the Association still under control of the developer?

Have you looked in your governing documents? - the answer to your questions should be there.

Have you looked up applicable state laws? - This page should assist you: http://www.hoa-usa.com/statelaws/ga.aspx

Do you know anyone interested in running and being on the board? You can't replace people with new people if they don't exist. You have one vote per lot as long as your in good standing. If you want a new board, then find new people willing to fill in those spots or do it yourself.
