Our HOA came and asked us to sign a form giving them our proxie so they can make decisions
on our behalf. I did not feel comfortable giving them a free hand to do anything they wanted.

Is this legal for them to do this in Florida?

Can anyone (board members or neighbors) solicit you to name them as your proxy representative?
Answer - Yes.

Are you obligated to give it to them?
Answer - No.

If you gave it to them can you cancel it (repeal it)?
Answer - Yes. This must be done in writing. Simply send a certified letter to the Association telling them that you rescind all proxy appointments. You send it certified so there is a paper trail if you need proof in the future for some unknown reason.
