My question is if you wanted an HOA Board Member removed what would it take to do this? Do you need 75% of the residents votes on this topic or can this person be removed by the Board itself?

MarieW - the requirements for removal of a Board member are unique to each association. your by-laws should spell out the necessary percentage. if the person was elected by the Board, there may be a loophole. if not, the residents must vote and it should probably begin by special petition from a percentage of residents (again spelled out in by-laws) to the Board President to hold a meeting for removal, the Board member should be given an opportunity to attend and speak on his/her defense.
