Hi all,
Just a question that was brought up to me...
Since we are a non profit HOA, do we have to file taxes?

Yes Beth, you need to file federal and state taxes. You are a non-profit but not exempt from paying taxes. Those non-profits which qualify to apply as exempt are churches, charities, etc. Most HOAs use IRS form 1120-H and whatever form is applicable for your state.
