Type the above in Google.

Happened in a condo association. Just goes to show be careful when making Rules and Regulations.

I googled and found that Amazon.com has amazing deals on dog poop and Target.com has murder on sale this week.

The story you are referring to is apparently that of a shooting in Dallas today where a man shot and killed the couple who lived in the unit above him because they owned a pit bull that pooped and peed on the upper balcony. The dog's waste then dripped down onto the lower balcony. It sounds like the association and its management company were aware of the situation, that the assocaition had rules that were violated, and that neither the association nor the management company took any action.

Prediction: The family of the deceased couple will file a wrongful death lawsuit against the association and management company arguing that if they had enforced the rules that the couple wilfully violated then they would not have been murdered.

I would have shot the dog, much lower consequences.

It is kind of ironic that the dog apparently escaped unharmed. It was described as a pitbull. The shooter was described as being 75 years old. The news stories said one other on-going issue was that the now-deceased neighbors were quite noisy and someone commented on the noise the shooter will hear in prison where he will spend the rest of his life.

BTW, the place where this took place has been described in some reports as condos and in other reports as apartments.

nooooooo...
imo: an act of passion done because of the deliberate actions of the upstairs 'neighbor' having their LARGE dog urinate on their balcony so it would drip down onto the 'shooters' balcony
myself, personally, would have used an aluminum baseball bat to take out their knees

ps. 'do unto others' if someone pisses on your balcony....what would you do?

Maybe, this guy should have done what my friend did when a neighbor's dog (some tiny Yorkie or something like it) had a tendency to piddle and poop in her front yard. One day, she saw a fresh pile of poo, and put it in a plastic bag. My friend then marched over to the neighbor's who lived three doors away, rang the doorbell and when the neighbor answered, my friend handed her a rather smelly bag, saying "you left this at my house this morning," and stormed off. The dog never piddle or pooped on my friend's yard.

So, it ain't about the dog, not matter what it is - it's about inconsiderate and irresponsible owners. The poo doesn't justify being gunned down, of course, but one has to ask if these folks might still be in the land of the living if they'd simply lowered their voices, turned down the TV and stero - and went to Petsmart or some other pet store and bought a damn pooper scooper.

The shooting is yet another sad commentary on these modern times. By resorting to using a gun, this guy will now spend the rest of his life in jail or plead insanity and spend the rest of his life alone because everyone will think he's a kook.

I think this is simply stupidity.

But where was the HOA? If other neighbors just stood by and let this happen... Thank goodness I don't live there. Poop in the yard is bad enough, but first time I'm on a balcony and a pitbull above pees on me? I wouldn't murder anyone, but this situation should have been dealt with long before it got to that point.
