I was going through and shredding some old paperwork when I stumbled upon an old filing system. The system may be helpful to those on their boards or are officers. I had created in an index card box some short cut notes per each lot. The tabs were labelled the lot numbers and the cards had each owner information. Those cards had basic information about each individual lot. It would tell me notes on status of the place if it was rental, if they had a dog, or other special needs of the owner.

This system made a great quick reference guide. I could quickly review the cards and keep up with each lots situation. Plus if someone's dog got loose I may know who to return it to. I thought this may be a useful tool for others to use in their HOA's. I had a similar separate system just for lawncare issues since each home had their own issues.

Maybe we can use this thread to post other useful tools for those who could use them. I am sure others on here have some great tips on running their HOA. It's time to help eachother out some if we can...
