Yesterday I place a post (HOA Complaint Form? CA AG) and a link to the Calif
Attorny General office for complaints regarding Homeowners Assn.
The 2.22.07 post seems to have disappeared, I cannot find it now.

Has anyone ever use this office to resolve a HOA problem?

Hello....I just recently sent off my complaint. They are the agency that has jurisdiction over HOA's and its Board. I think it's a useful tool and not used enough. A lot of people are unaware of the resource.

This is excellent information. I was wondering who has jurisdiction as to the enforcement of rights of homeowners in HOA non compliace disputes. Somebody's got to monitor HOAs. Thanks

I have filed complaints. The AG told me will only get involved in certain situations, such as not showing documents, not having a meeting for over a year. After the Nov 2006 election, I recieved a letter stating that the AG didn't deal with HOAs at all.
There is no agency in CA that will enforce HOA law.
