Any one knows how first refusal works in Florida? I am purchasing a unit in a development and the association is denying me base on a third degree felony for driving with a suspended license.
In the development CC&R's it has language of first refusal such as, and I am paraphrasing: the CCR&R's language it states that that the association may disapprove of the transaction by written notice to owner, which in this case is a bank. If the association plan on disapproving with sale they have to be prepared to buy property or find a designated purchaser for purchase under same terms.
Does anyone know what Florida stats are with first refusal or what options I have with getting my attorney to do. I have retained an attorney to right a letter to association against denying me, but would like to know if I may have some additional info to share with him that maybe helpful?
