Dear Friends:

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy I can't help but watch the news reports of how this has affected the lives of millions around our area. We might be the lucky ones. We perhaps suffered no real serious damage. Our electric is on, our homes are warm and we have a safe place to sleep at night. And that is all a good thing. But we should not sit by and count our good fortunes while we know other people have lost their lives, most of what they ever had, and the basic needs to live their lives day to day. While I sit home tonight comfortable, MILLIONS of people sit in the cold, in the dark, without power and with uncertainty as to what tomorrow will bring them, that will be with them for weeks, months to come or longer.

So this is what I now propose. In my mind rather simple. IF you were lucky enough to have avoided any real serious damage from the recent hurricane. IF your kids, family and friends are all safe and sound tonight perhaps you might take the time to make a contribution to help others in the names of those in your family who are doing just fine.

When you see someone in need you don't turn your head and look away. You don't turn a blind eye. You don't change the channel. You should stop and do whatever you can. $10-$20-$50-$100 or more. You help them.................We can't help in the cleanup, we can't build them new homes but the least I feel we can do as human beings is send them some funds to assist those in need. And there are many of them!

Below is a link to a list of charities now offering services to those affected by hurricane Sandy. IF you find yourself in a place in life where you can afford to be generous please take the time to help those in need. Whatever you might be able to give it will be more than they had

Please forward this to everyone in your e-mail address lists and lets hope caring people respond.

Thank you,

JonD
