If a special meeting is called to vote to remove a couple of board members, can the board members also vote (all of them)?

Thanks.

If this is a general membership meeting being called and all the Directors are also members of the Association (i.e. homeowners) then yes.

Also, any Director (member or not) may be a proxy representative for another member (that is if proxy voting is allowed).

Thank you for that reply Tim. We have 2 board member that just flat out need not be there. A group of people asked us about calling a special meeting according to our bylaws to see if we can vote to remove them. We're preparing everything according to the bylaws, but they had a question as to whether the board members themselves could vote.

That answers my question! Thank you again.

I agree with Tim.

Being on a BOD oes not remove my ability to vote on issues (recall) presented for "all owners" be it to establish a quorum and/or vote.

EDIT

DOES not remove my ability. The same as owner, myself voting for myself to be on the BOD.

Will Romney vote for Romney?
