I have just been elected President of our HOA. I'm new in the complex. There is one particular board member who is, everyday, knowingly and willingly breaking three of our bylaws. The other two board members are her "best friend" and refuse to do anything. Any ideas?

If you quote the bylaws that they are breaking, and then give details on what they're doing, then you may get some better ideas.

Lucky you! Are others breaking these rules too? IF so, are they being enforced against them? Are you a five member board? If so, looks like you will be outvoted every time. Can you garner support from other owners? I suspect that as a new resident and already on the board, there is not too much enthusiasm from the other owners which is why these three "friends" have been able to control the board. So sad. But you will need to get support of the other owners before you can eliminate this problem. Harold
