We were to have an executive meeting yesterday with the administrator of the Care Center we are next to. (Contract business) Since as of yesterday morning we did not have any figures from her, our President emailed her and asked if she wanted to reschedule the meeting. She said "yes" But she came over yesterday anyway. I knew nothing about it until it was over. Our President was at the spa when her husband called to tell her the administrator was here. The President called another Board member and asked her to find out what was going on. This Board member proceeded to meet the the administrator and two other people from the Care Center. I was informed the meeting starting about 5:30 P.M., the President entered at 6:30 P.M. and the meeting adjourned at 6:50 P.M.
This is the Second time the administraor of the Care Center has done something like this. One time we were to meet regarding the contract. We thought we may be meeting in the aftermoon and informed the administrator we needed to know because two Board members would need to take time off work if that were the case. Our President tried to contact her multiple times to see when she wanted to meet.
As I was on my way to the bank to make a deposit, my phone rang, I stopped and pulled over to see who called. I called the number and it was our President informing me "they are here" This was about 4:00 P.M. I asked who "they" are and she said the people from the care center. The reason given for not letting us know was that the man from the home office was on the plan. (Pretty weak excuse in my book.)
The first time, I was upset, but could overlook the hurried meeting. But after the administrator of the Care Center did this the second time I think she is doing it on purpose to take us off guard. We specifically asked for figures to review before our meeting.
Yes, I know a meeting should have never been allowed to take place, but what is done is done. My questions is do you think the administratore of the care center is doing this on purpose?
