We've just had an unexpected resignation from our Board of seven in our high rise HOA of 200+ units.

I'd love ideas about how to encourage H'owners to serve on the Board. What's good wording for brief notices? For more detailed notices?

We'll post elevator notices with details in our mailrooms and on our website. (Our monthly newsletter was just distributed so we're too late for it.)

Per our bylaws, the individual will only serve until our next annual mtng. & election in Oct. That should be a plus, right?

Most of the folks I know are on the Board, have served in the past, or play important roles on Committees & want no additional involvement.

One idea could be to identify people who have been complaining recently. You can encourage them to join the board and make improvements themselves.
