Hi Everyone,

Now that we have over 26,000 members & 130,000 message posts, Community123.com (the builder and owner of HOATalk) has moved this site to a new more powerful web server.

This should result in even faster response time on the site than before. If you see any problems or have any comments on the site's speed, please post a reply on this topic.

Community123 is working to support all our members here at HOATalk.com.

We hope you enjoy the faster site.

Thanks.

But would have liked to see an EDIT button for posters to use.

Site doesnt hang anymore. Before, every so often, when you clicked links, it would sit there for 30 seconds or so, now no lag.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! It's very encouraging.

Just wanted to let you know that we are now rebuilding the search indexes so the site may get a little slower for the next couple hours while the search engine reads over 12,000 topic pages.

SusanW1: We have thought about the edit button but it presents some problems for us in that: People going back and editing old posts could make subsequent posts no longer make sense. We want to preserve the data integrity of the conversations here.

It also presents issues with monitoring when old posts can change at any time.

Thank you. The site is faster.

Along the edit lines. I know on site that allows edit for only 20 minutes after a post is made. Thus corrections can be made.
