Our 480 unit HOA has just learned that we have been bitten by the MARTA bug and that our Declaration of Covenants have expired. Has anyone been through legal maze?

For those of us that don't know, would you please define MARTA for us?

Larry,

Well, that is NOT a pleasant situation to be in. For starters read Chapter 720 Part III. ‘Covenant Revitalization’. You may have to hire an attorney but be sure you will find one who is well versed in this area. Many attorneys are not familiar with MRTA and make ‘costly’ mistakes.

Larry,

I keep thinking about the ‘480 unit HOA’. It is quite unusual for such a large HOA to let the covenants expire after 30 years. You are not a condominium are you?
