Our HOA community has a board member who resigned, for reasons unknown and now after a few months wants to return. Is this allowed? We are located in Florida.

I would say that if the former board member's position is still vacant, and if the board has the power to fill vacancies and wishes to appoint this person to fill that vacancy, then it would be permitted.

However, if the vacancy created by the former board member's resignation has already been filled by another person, then the former board member will have to wait until the next election and run for a position on the board just like anyone else.
