I heard that there were new HOA laws that had been passed in
June in Texas and more to come. Does anyone have that information
that can share with me? Thank you.

Doing a web search, I discovered the following:

A summary of the changes

Tracking of the law NOTE: Law doesn't take effect until 1 January 2012

Link to the TX legislature site

In the summary of the changes (see first link) there were many different bills that were listed. Therefore, I've provided a link to the state legislature site where you can enter the bill number from the summary and be provided the actual legislation. Summaries are nice but it's best to read the actual language of the document itself.

Community Association Institute should have information as well. There were 16 new laws passed this year. Some went into effect immediately, some Sept 1, 2011 and some Jan 1, 2012. Our association attorney prepared a booklet for our board to reference.

Thanks for sharing. I don’t see too much of amendments, it seems to be some slight changes in some places.
