Fellow Board members have not responsed to my email for my request to dedicate the new Community Park in the name of the President who's held that position for 20+ years because on one else has ever wanted it.

Last year we dug up the tennis court instead of repairing and installed irrigation then sod.
We can't afford furniture yet but have 6 plastic Adirondack type chairs and dog toy's...

It's diffucult to get any interest to join the Board - much less - hold her position.

It's pretty much been a "one man show" since 1981. A thankless position to say the least.

Board meetings aren't held because other Board member's couldn't be bothered so she and I have lunch from time to time as our own Board meeting..sad....

The President is not very popular, although because of her hard work, enforcing the rules and dediction we hadn't had an assessment in 13 years and dues are lower then any other condo around us.
We are not raising due's this year even though water/sewage has risen. We are cutting back elsewhere as alot of folks here are on fixed incomes.

Other Board member's from other condo's around us compliment us for how great we look and for being able to keep due's so low seeing how we have old buildings made of wood and alot of landscaping.

Since I haven't heard back from a single member yet...what's the next step?
Our management company thought it a great idea, hooked me up with a place on line to order a plaque...I forwarded his response to my inquiry as to how to go about doing this and a note from myself to the other member's.

Management company said all Board member's must be on-board.

Our annual meeting is in a couple weeks and I had hoped one of us could present her with a plaque after our management company leads in then gives us the floor...( as they suggested)

Can this possibily happen by default or something? Should I send out letters?

As long as the cost didn't come from Association funds, I think it's a great idea.

Another idea would be to volunteer to be on the board with her.

I apologize, I misread the posting and caught my mistake as I depressed the enter key (wish we could edit).

I'm glad to see that you are on the Board

Again, I think the plaque is a great idea!!

Ask people to pitch in money for a plaque. Order it. Done.

Sorry, Melissa. I think sarcasm is a good thing and I even like black humor believe it or not. But anger may cloud one’s thinking. I think you are smart, and perhaps – based on your posts- just got hurt in the process. But there is life beyond HOAs. No need to reply.
