One of the 3 board members allows her husband to park his commercial vehicle also they own a rental and allow their renter to park their diesel truck to park on premises in the visitors' parking where there is a very limited # of spots. When I bring this to the attention of the manager, I get a nasty note about something minor which many others are in violation of say "lawn art". I have many photos with date and times and would like to post them to my blog. Any comments, suggestions or warnings??? Thanks

It appears you may be correct in complaint as are the board members citing "illegal" lawn art. It all needs to go.

The lawn art is not my real complaint, as I kept my stuff up (all in good taste) it's one particular board member that gets special privileges and perks because of her position. How should this be addressed?

Hi Valerie:

The point Kelly was making is you are complaining about another potentially breaking rules (if there is rule in documents regarding parking), and yet you admit breaking the “lawn art” rule. Just because an individual is volunteering their time and efforts to serve on the board and maybe breaking a rule does not necessarily make that a “privilege or perk”. First thing I would suggest is before you even consider posting anything on blogs about others, make sure you do not have any privilege or perk violations yourself.

After that I would suggest sending a “certified return receipt” letter regarding your concern and include the verbiage from documents on the issue and any other information. Negative public blog is not the place to air neighborhood dispute, this will only possibly turn your neighbors against you in the long run.
