We have two units that the owners walked away from, we filed liens on them about a year ago. We have no idea who owns them. What are our options as to getting our monies back, Foreclosure ???

William,

Start at your County's Assessor's office for who's name is on the property. Check that by keying in the address. Once you know that, go to the Clerk of Circuit Court office or website. That will show if there are any papers, leins, judgements or foreclosures from a lender or anyone else on the property. Chances are that someone within reach is owner of the property. Before you can start any foreclosure, you need to know the who, what and wheres of the address and ownership.
