I live in a condominium complex in California. Does anyone know if we are required by law to post a sign on our property with the name and number of our property management company? Or are the signs I have seen elsewhere just PM's way to advertise?

Thank you,

Jenn

Can you call the police if it's not posted? No. It's just a good idea to have the information posted for the members to know who to contact with their questions, comments, or payments. Don't see it as advertising as much as a consideration...

Jennifer,

You are not required by law to post a sign with the P.M or the M.C on it. I think that it is a great idea to have it readily available for everyone to see. One of my associations has one outside of the office/clubhouse and the other one is posted next to the guard house, saying that this property managed by so and so with a phone number. In case of a gate malfunction, the number is right in front of the gate.
