I live in a 45 year old housing cooperative in Arizona, and have found some really useful information on these forums, especially as we prepare for town halls and community meetings. The wealth of written ideas and experiences with just the "dog poop" issue is amazing.

I live in a really wonderful 373 unit 17 acre condo community with a rich history and a great deal of promise. I was elected to the board this year and am now serving as the treasurer. One of the more difficult tasks we face is the creation of a long-term improvements plan for our aging buildings and common facilities. I also want to tackle modernizing and simplifying some of our governing documents, and we want to explore more effective use of committees. During the past few months, I have scanned hundreds of posts on these topics and appreciate all of the great feedback and experiences.

Mostly, I just wanted to say hello, and maybe see if any other folks from housing cooperatives are on the forums.

Hi Rich,

Welcome to the forum.
Please share your experiences from time to time so others can learn from you.

It sounds like you have a large list of goals your Board wishes to accomplish. My advise is to prioritize and realize that you can't accomplish all of them in one year. Took me awhile to learn that and almost got burnt out from trying.

Once again, Welcome Aboard.

Tim
