How are HOA's dealing with Bed bugs being brought in to the complex?

So far we aren't (knock wood) but they would be dealt with like any other pest. The HOA would be responsible for any found in the common elements and the homeowners for any found in their units. If they do present, I would make an announcement in the newsletter or by postings in the buildings that they have been sighted on the property. Along with this I would post the HOA's policy and cite where in the CC&R's they get that authority.
