Our development is in transition with the builder/developer and a new board has been elected. Our bylaws/CCR's state that the builder is the only one that can display for sale signs on the property. Owners selling their homes cannot.

There are only four more homes to be built (40 total). The builder is renting more than he is selling with the economy. The original sign with the phone number of the sales office, etc. is still in front of our gates.

At the last board meeting we asked our property manager if they builder would agree to take down the sign and she said not until the develoment is finished. The sign is broken down and is an "eye sore" in front of our development and at this point not necessary since we don't have a sales office and haven't for years.

Does anyone have any suggestions (within reason) on how we can get the sign removed.

thanks,
Maureen

Amend the CC&Rs (you need to anyway) to limit one sign of x size at entrance and one sign of x size on property that is up for sale. Once the amendment passes, enforce the CC&Rs.
