If you currently have an HOA and fee has been set up as voluntary for more than 30 years now.....only 50.00 per year.....only two thirds pay......any way to swith over to making this fee mandatory??? How??? Thanks.

1. Throw a party
2. Invite everyone
3. Free liquor
4. Get 100% of everyone to sign contract for mandatory HOA dues.
5. If they dont sign up, induce with more liquor. *

*Repeat step 5 until successful

What do the HOA fees cover? The problem is unless you potentially have something that everyone does not want to lose it is very difficult. Those individuals who purchase in a mandatory HOA have their covenants attached to and running with their property. In a voluntary HOA they can choose whether or not they want to pay any fees for certain services or benefits.

Steve has a point … even though it is a little in fun, in essence unless you have something that everyone can no longer benefit from, his course of action unfortunately would be one of the best.
