Hello Everybody,

I am the president of my community HOA B.O.D and I am researching possible companies for repairing sidewalks that have heaved and are causing trippping hazards. I came across a company called Precision Safe Sidewalks Inc. They use some sort oh horizontal saw to slice of the heaved portion of sidewalk to be level with the sidewalk that it abuts to. I am wondering if someone here has had any experience with this company and can share their results.

Thank you, John

John,

We have never used that company or procedure. We use a company that digs out the old and lays new concrete.

John,

When we wanted our sidewalks repaired we called the City public works department. They fixed the sidewalks at no cost to the Association. At least in our case, the sidewalks and their maintenance are the responsibility of the City (even though homeowners must clear ice and pressure wash periodically). You should check out your situation before spending any money.

And one thing to look out for. The color of concrete varies. You should look out for any new concrete to match the color of the existing sidewalk as closely as possible.
